Donation and surrogacy
The oocyte donation is recommended for women with the following reproductive disorders:
- Premature ovarian failure
- Genetic pathologies
- Poor-quality oocytes or embryos obtained by several IVF
Donor’s age must be 20 - 30 years. Detailed medical examination of the donor before the procedure is obligatory .
Planned preliminary surveys are conducted in the previous menstrual cycle and subsequent studies are carried out on the 2-3rd days of menstrual cycle, after confirmation of donor’s health “intentional mother’s" (recipient) and donor’s cycles are coincided, as well as stimulation of donor’s ovaries and aspiration of follicular fluid (puncture). Oocytes retrieved by ultrasound-guided transvaginal puncture are fertilized with a sperm of recipient’s partner or donor in the embryology laboratory, then oocytes, under the ultrasound monitoring, are transferred into the womb of the “intentional mother".
In about 12 days after the transfer of embryos a pregnancy test or blood analysis is performed to establish the pregnancy. The need for donor sperm arises with azoospermia or any other pathological disorders of male. The donor's sperm is used for insemination or IVF procedure.
During the surrogacy program biological mother or donor are stimulated, and the fertilized egg is transferred to the womb of the surrogate mother. The surrogate mother has no genetic connection with embryos.
